Location: Washington, DC
The Skinny: Set in Washington's tony neighborhood of Georgetown, this 1875 mansard roof manor occupies a prime lot in a sea of townhouses. The nearly 10,000-square-foot Georgian features nine bedrooms, seven full baths, four half baths, a 40-foot lap pool, a spacious rear garden, six parking spaces, and a backstory to match: Joseph and Rose Kennedy, parents of—yes, that's correct—purportedly rented the house during their son's inauguration in 1961. The mansion was also featured in the 1985 film St. Elmo's Fire, starring in the sort of forlorn love montage that '80s movies are known for. Poor Kirby's stuck outside in the pouring rain while his crush cavorts with DC's glitterati! For the sake of nostalgia, check out the video after the jump.
