Looks like a new in-house, photo-stocked glossy magazine isn't the only thing that's solidifying The Rug Company's rap as a "fashion underfoot" kinda place. The retailer of high-end carpets, wall coverings, pillows, and home accessories recently hosted cabaret performance by Vogue European editor at large Hamish Bowles for NYC's Fashion's Night Out, a raucous affair attended by oodles of Vogue editors and the very tall, very stunning supermodel Hana Soukupova. The company's newest collab, expected to hit the shelves after the holidays, is a three-years-in-the-making collection of six designs from the late Alexander McQueen. Themes of skulls, hummingbirds, feathers and military brocade (above) are all rendered with "the finest knotting techniques and very best materials to ensure almost photographic reproductions of his designs." McQueen follows Paul Smith, Diane von Furstenberg, and others who have contributed lines to The Rug Company; view a whole lot of fashion-designer carpets here:
