Opening tomorrow under NYC's High Line Park: a massive sculptural installation from fashion designer Richard Chai and art/architecture firm Snarkitecture. The project is the fourth of five projects in the Building Fashion initiative (the joint efforts of non-profit arts org BOFFO NY, architect Spilios Gianakopolous, and website Architizer). That's a lotta players to remember in one collab, sure, but here's what's interesting: these crazy kids will sell Chai's men's and women's collections within a structure that resembles a "glacial cavern...carved from the confines of an existing structure beneath the High Line." The synergy meter has just gone haywire.
