Designer Tony Baratta, one half of the notoriously audacious firm Diamond Baratta Design, opens his apartment to the New York Social Diary House column today. Evident are threads of the DBD signature look he's honed with business partner Bill Diamond, such as a geometric carpet and a herringbone-print wallpaper, both of their own design, plus various plaids, patterns, and custom Deco pieces. All in all, it's glamorous, sumptuous, luscious—and other words ending with "ous"—but likewise restrained.
Speaking of: here's one possibly DBD-designed space without much restraint at all. >>
