New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has been trying to see her Hudson, N.Y., house, and with little success, reports the New York Times. The house, with four bedrooms and a barn, went on the market for $1.71M in April and has just been price-chopped to $1.48M. It's sorta tough to imagine why it hasn't sold yet, what with 13 scenic acres and a listing descript like this: "You might think you once stumbled upon in a childhood dream...this once in a lifetime slice of heaven is the perfect backdrop to make memories generation after generation. Beginning with the private drive guarded by towering shade trees through which the light bounces off Ol' Man River..." Cheesy, yes, but it sure seems much more peaceful than other happenings in Gillibrand's life at the moment.
