It's Baaack! The $70M Log Cabin With 3,000 Acres

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Bondurant, Wyo.
Price: $69,500,000
The Skinny: Most of the time, in a price range so lofty and rarified, sellers opt for that classic plebe put-off: "Price Upon Request." Not so with this ranch near Jackson, Wyo., which returned to market after just five years. Back in '05, the asking price was a whopping $55M for this cluster of 1950s log homes and—oh, right—3,016 acres. The lean economic climate hasn't prevented the owner from attempting a serious profit. The 2010 asking price? A cool $69.5M, making it one of the most expensive properties in the country.

Though the ranch's 11 log cabins present a rustic aesthetic, there's a good reason. This is a working cattle ranch that doubles as a ritzy recreational paradise, with a wide variety of fish and game, close proximity to the ski resort at Jackson Hole, and a litany of famous neighbors, including Harrison Ford, Tiger Woods, and Sandra Bullock. Good luck running next door to borrow some sugar, though—it just might turn into a marathon.
