Buy Playboy; Party With Hef!

It was a very bad sign when the NYC offices of Playboy shuttered and moved to Chicago in recent years, and a worse one when ad sales dropped by 34 percent last year; now, harbingers of the magazine's imminent doom just get weirder. For the first time ever, Playboy's octogenarian founder Hugh Hefner is inviting 10 random readers to visit the Beverly Hills Playboy Mansion; who these lucky people are, exactly, will be determined on Friday when the December issue, containing 10 "golden tickets," hits the stands. This is surely good news for kind-souled, well-mannered American families everywhere: "the average reader will go home with stories they can’t tell their wives and girlfriends but will last forever," says the magazine's editorial director.
