The first twinkles of mass-market holiday catalogs have recently landed in our mailbox, along with them an unusually weighty bunch of wishes and promises. For instance, over at Restoration Hardware, a regular ol' chenille throw won't cut it this year, nope—theirs is proudly broadcasted as "The Solid & Striped 5Lb. Chenille Throw." Five pounds! You don't say. Meanwhile, West Elm of course offers ornaments, but they're super-special ornaments that happen to be "hand made for us by artisans in Kathmandu, Nepal." We've browsed these catalogs, along with CB2's and Pottery Barn's, and are pleased to present the first installment of curious holiday-decor styling after the jump.
