Napa Valley Vineyard Ripe for Swank Bacchanal

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: St. Helena, Calif.
Price: $12,995,000
The Skinny: Set in the heart of Napa Valley, this contemporary stone-and-glass estate presides over 20 acres of "award-winning Cabernet" grapes. Consisting of a main house, guest house, and pool house, the $12M property strikes a mean balance between rustic and luxury—rough stone shoehorned into a design with "clean lines," according to the listing. Unlike the usual cave-like Napa wineries—which tend to imitate too accurately the architectural tropes of France—this place embraces the California light and views of the lush surroundings. It's just plain welcoming by comparison. Maybe that makes for less serious wine, but it's certainly more livable, so tell Robert Parker to back off.
