Deborah Needleman to Make WSJ. Magazine Debut

On Saturday, the first issue of WSJ. Magazine under the directorship of former Domino editor Deborah Needleman will make its debut with a cover story on relatively unknown French actor Vincent Cassel. Random? Yes. But "he seems like the perfect Wall Street Journal guy," Needleman told WWD. "He’s cool, and he really wears clothes really well.” Clocking it at 110 pages, the magazine will compete with editor Sally Singer's first issue of T: The New York Times Style Magazine, which also comes out on Saturday. As if fueling the deathmatch, Needleman has already poached former Times' design journalist Rita Konig for her masthead. [WWD; previously]
