Castle Up and Live Like a King in a Town Full of Serfs

Tucked into the Northwestern corner of Georgia, the town of Ranger has a median income that hovers somewhere around $30K. So, uh, it'd be pretty awkward for someone to swoop in and spend a kingly $2M on the 10,341-square-foot "authentic medieval castle," built in 2008, above. It occupies 72 acres of prime Ranger land—approximately one-eighth of the town's total .8 square miles—and an indoor pool with painted ceiling that's sure to make the commoners jealous. Twelve-inch stone walls protect against all the shenanigans one would expect to have to endure in a town of 85 residents.
