The newly elected won't be the only ones to flock to the nation's capital in the near future; New York University has plans to open a 75,000-square-foot dorm/classroom facility on L Street NW in the Mount Vernon Square neighborhood. The new building, designed by DC-based Hickok Cole Architects, broke ground in September and will house 120 students when complete in Fall 2012, supplementing the university's recently announced megaplans for expansion within NYC.
