Where Santa Doth Love to Fly

The clever cats over at Zillow Blog have devised an algorithm to determine Santa's 10 favorite American cities (with a population exceeding 350K), based on "safest working conditions, most optimal sleigh-flying weather, and the ability to deliver the most presents in the least amount of time." After factoring in criteria such as percentage of homes with a fireplace and percentage of single-story homes—"hypothesizing that Santa would prefer single-story homes so there's less likelihood of a workplace injury"—Colorado Springs, Colo., Wichita, Ks., and Los Angeles came out on top. Sad news for kids in NYC and Boston: none of Santa's preferred fly zones are located east of the Mississippi. [ZIllow Blog]
