A Screwball Euro Interpretation Nestled High in Ski Country

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Telluride, Colo.
Price: $19,750,000
The Skinny: Nestled high in the Colorado mountains, Telluride seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis lately. It's home to rustic mountain hideaways that forgo pomp and circumstance, like the Alta Lakes Observatory we featured back in October. That backcountry cabin shares a stone-and-wood construction and the Tyrollean silhouette with today's ski-in, ski-out estate, but that's where the similarities end: A.L.O. went on the market for $1.95M. This 10,000-square-foot behemoth is looking for 10 times that amount, $19.75M to be exact. Then there's the decor. Europe by way of Epcot Center?
