Candy Spelling Spells Out Record Condo Sale

Our cousins over at Curbed LA bring word that Candy Spelling, widow of megaproducer Aaron, has closed on a penthouse in swank Los Angeles luxury building The Century. Despite the fact that her new digs in the Robert A.M. Stern building are 1,000 square feet smaller than anticipated (totaling a shameful 15,555 square feet), the move from landlubber to high-rise represents Spelling's big commitment to "vertical living in Los Angeles," according to the president of Related Sales. She paid $35M—that would be $2,250 per square foot—setting a record for condo sales in the area. [Curbed LA]
