Calif. and NYC Dominate Top 10 of the Nation's Filthy-Richest Zips

New, 2 comments

California girls, no matter how undeniable or unbelievable, have nothing on California real estate. The state happens to occupy six of the top 10 of Forbes's just-published list of the country's 100 most expensive zip codes. Batting first is Duarte, Calif., a tiny town some 10 miles east of Pasadena that boasts a median home price of $4,276,462 and a scant 1,391 residents. (It's only got 12 homes currently on the market, which obviously tips the scales considerably.) Also within the top 10 are these California locales: Atherton (#2), Rolling Hills (#3), Beverly Hills (#6), Belvedere (#8), and Santa Barbara (#10). Manhattan, of course, takes three spots—leaving the remainder to a very lucky Alpine, N.J. Browse the top 10 above; read the full roster of 100 on Forbes.com.
