Crack Den-Turned-Elegant Victorian a Harlem Renaissance

Brett Beldock of Brett Design offered Curbed National a first look at a rather stunning project for five-time repeat clients: a once-decrepit Harlem townhouse turned sumptuous family home. Beldock worked her magic on the library, which is grounded by turquoise and chocolates, an antique oak bookshelf and textures like linen, leather, and velvet. Then there's the cheery bedroom of the family's 14-year-old daughter; inspired by '30s glam, it's bedecked in pops of warm colors, mirrored side tables, and a curvaceous headboard. Plus: a fuchsia lambswool throw? File under: impressively audacious. Check out the photos below.
