Media empress and crafting queen Martha Stewart is really making good on that Martha Stewart Ubiquity Award she received in December. She's now taking her talents to Orlando, Fla., where she's teaming with KB Builders on affordable, eco-friendly Martha-branded housing—and possibly a whole "Martha Stewart community"—aimed at attracting local buyers and revitalizing the area market. Developers believe that those who may not be concerned with efficient HVAC systems or solar-paneled roofs will still be hypnotized by the prospect of a $200K version of one of Martha's own East Coast houses, complete with a Martha-approved open kitchen and wainscoting. And if eco-friendly just doesn't do it, homebuyers "can just get a Martha house that isn't so green." Thank heavens!
