French Normandy Estate is a Bit Heavy-Handed, Dontcha Think?

New, 8 comments

It's fitting that this mega manse, built in 1993, sits in a town that has technically three names—La Canada Flintridge—because not a single detail in all its 11,700 square feet is subtle. Hand-painted murals, ornate paneling, and wrought-iron railings are all lavish, but it's the post-and-beam ceiling in the living room that really puts this place over the top. Or maybe it's the velvet curtains in the dining room, with their gold rope tassels and crazy valances. $7.95M's the going rate for all this majesty.
