Columned Colossus Proves Everything's Bigger in Texas

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Houston, Tex.
Price: $19,000,000
The Skinny: The largest home, on the largest lot, in the priciest subdivision in the Houston suburb The Woodlands, DanMar Manor is, unsurprisingly, the most expensive home for sale in Houston. At 30,000 square feet, this place is truly gargantuan, and packs some fittingly outrageous features: eight bedrooms including a 3,100-square-foot master suite, two additional one-bedroom apartments, a swimming pool with pool house, a "shampoo salon," "birdcage" elevator, gated driveway, and a home theater with attached '50s-style bar and "night sky" LED ceiling lights. There are, however, disappointments, the most glaring of which is the view of the neighbors through the trees. For $19M, you'd think a little privacy would be in order.
