Scotland's Daily Record has recently reported that steel baron Lakshmi Mittal, Europe's richest man and the world's fifth richest, continues construction on his vacation home in Pertshire, Scotland (above left). Ringing in at $23M, it takes the honor of the country's most expensive, despite being a far cry from Mittal's $128M palatial main residence in London. And it's even a farther cry from the $230M London mega-mansion that Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich is renovating (above right), which boasts nine stories, 30,000 square feet and creature comforts such as an indoor pool and steam room. All this, and Abramovich is only the world's 50th richest person! Time to step it up, Lakshmi.
