It's published by Dauphin Media Group and it has just reported an impressive increase in its subscriber base: 286,000 up from 75,000 at its launch in November 2009. Centered around the serendipitously named Mike Holmes of the HGTV shows Holmes on Homes and Holmes Inspection, the magazine features a number of home-improvement, reno, and DIY stories; the second issue, due out next week, will have an eco-living focus. Fun fact: Dauphin, publisher of Canadian Architecture and Design, also has plans to release a magazine called, every so amazingly, Male Perspective.
