New Contender For Worst Room of 2011 Surfaces in Texas

New, 14 comments

Ever since that shocking-purple Tennessee number we deemed a possible Worst Room of 2011 in January sold in May, it's been a long, solemn march to find a suitable replacement. There have indeed been many contenders. But this Texas listing offers, perhaps, the fiercest of them all in the form of that bathroom above; the property recently surfaced on Houston real estate blog Swamplot, where the author quite accurately calls out the abundant use of faux finishes and other paint treatments throughout. Actually, it kind of makes sense: the place is located in the master-planned community of The Woodlands, whose slogan is: "The Art of Living Like an Artist's Palette." The 9,100-square-foot house is asking $1.42M.
