A recent piece in the China Daily discusses how bad China's recent crop of architecture has been. Of the new China Central Television Headquarters HQ by Dutch designer Rem Koolhaas, reporter Liu Yujie writes: "critics say [it] has 'humiliated the Chinese' by its irreverent resemblance to a pair of boxer shorts, and its exorbitant price tag of five billion yuan ($783.80 million)."
