Bjarke Ingels Wire

The current issue of WSJ. Magazine names hot guy and Manhattan's future pyramid builder Bjarke Ingels as one of its "Innovators of the Year," praising the Danish architect's optimism, ebullience, focus on small-scale urbanism, and refusal to create buildings that aren't fun. "Urban tower blocks don't have to be crammed with dreary rectangles," writes Richard B. Woodward. "They can have courtyard gardens and submarine-like periscopes, and still be cost-effective." There are hundreds more similarly adoring words, so click over. [WSJ. Magazine; Curbed NY]
