This Hand-Hewn Log Home Suffers from an Inflated Ego

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Mammoth Lakes, Calif.
Price: $16,400,000
The Skinny: The brokerbabble for this grand residence near Yosemite National Park has it listed as "one of the largest and most exclusive hand-hewn log homes in existence." While we have a hard time believing that this 16,500-square-foot place tops the 117,000-square-foot Colorado log palace of publishing magnate Jim Moore, it's still worthy of consideration, especially for what looks like a full-blown casino tucked away in the basement. The nine-bedroom spread also boasts 11 fireplaces, a sauna, two steam rooms, a gym, sports court, media room, parking for eight cars, and views of nearby Gull Lake.
