Inside the Jungle-Like Retreat of Internet Emperor Matt Drudge

Matt Drudge has bought a second Florida home for $1.45M. The Drudge Report founder, who also owns a condo in Miami Beach, reportedly paid cash for a five-bedroom, five-bathroom, 6,400-square-foot ranch-style Miami home that was built in 1976 and described in the brokerbabble as a "SAFARI LIKE TROPICAL PARADISE." The grounds do look incredible—lush plantings, an enclosed pool area, tons of porch space, and so on—but the interiors look dark and, frankly, dreary. Perhaps Drudge will spruce the place up with his all-powerful magical powers. Gawker, which is quick to point out that Drudge Report is but the second most valuable blog in the universe, has a video tour.
