From the listing photos, this 18,000-square-foot mansion might look like a grand historic European villa set amid park-like grounds, but sadly, this place is set on a cramped lot in a Potomac, Md. subdivision. That hasn't kept the palatial limestone manse from asking an astounding $6.9M, though the staging, or the lack thereof, is a little disappointing. The seven-bedroom, 9.5-bath spread was built by a local luxe builder and includes an extravagant Italian wood-paneled library. Looks like that $1.5M modern on 1.3 acres in Potomac that our colleagues at Curbed DC turned up on Tuesday really is a good deal.
