Come, Let's Tour the Glassy Making of an Epic Party Pad

Tucked into the hillside in Bell Canyon, Calif., some 25 miles inland from Malibu, this six-bedroom, nine-bathroom, 10,000-plus-square-foot manse was built in 2007 and first caught the eye of our cousins over at Curbed LA a year ago. "For certain Angelenos, Bell Canyon might as well be halfway to the moon, so why not live on a 2001: A Space Odyssey set while you're there?" they wrote of the modernist, glassy retreat, which was first listed in March 2010 before being pulled off and put back on the market a few times with nary a price PriceChop from its original $3.995M ask. With a red-lacquer kitchen and a bowling alley holding court inside, not to mention a glass-tiled pool and grotto on the 2.8-acre grounds, this place is bound to work as the ultimate party pad if it can't pass as a, uh, plush family home: it's been put on the rental market for $15,000 a month.
