This week, just in time for Thanksgiving, most December-issue (or December/January-issue) shelter books hit newsstands. In them: gift guides, decorating tips, recipes, wrapping-paper how-tos, festively festooned homes, snow-capped ski chalets, and, of course, a borderline overdose of wreaths and Christmas trees. Because it is neither physically nor mentally possible to read every word of these glossies before the Thanksgiving break, let Curbed's Impressionistic Reading of the Holiday Shelter Mags henceforth commence. In other words, nine national magazines and the race to get through them all. To the photogallery above!
