Fashion designers are known to own very fashionable properties. Take Vera Wang's new beach house. Or Zang Toi's newly listed Manhattan digs. Or Valentino's luscious Jacques Grange-designed aerie. Point made. Anyway, it's no surprise that Azzedine Alaia's flats—flats, plural—in Paris' trendy Marais district are equally well appointed, with clean, minimalist decor interspersed with pieces by Jean Nouvel, Marc Newsom, and Arne Jacobsen. Paris travel blogger Richard Nahem caught a look inside the one-bedroom apartment and both two-bedroom apartments, all belonging to Alaia, which start at about $600 a night. Oh, and not sure who Alaia actually is? The high-end brand was eternalized in the '90s flick Clueless.
