The Estate of the Late, Great Designer to the Stars Ron Wilson

New, 5 comments

The celebrity designer Ron Wilson passed away in June, after a 47-year career as one of America's most lauded interior designers. Now his gated Beverly Hills estate is up for sale for a celeb-worthy price: $7.3M. Wilson, who designed for Princess Diana, Johnny Carson, Tom Selleck, Kenny Rogers, and Eddie Murphy, also did up no fewer than 19 houses for Cher, a task that probably could have paid for this estate all on its own. And what a doozy it is: a 1930's Mediterranean villa with extravagant landscaping, classic courtyard, six bedrooms and seven baths. The interiors aren't the height of contemporary design, but after 47 years of "the next big thing," who could blame the man for sticking with something he liked.
