A Glassy Penthouse High Above Southwestern Urban Sprawl

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Phoenix, Ariz.
Price: $2,450,000
The Skinny: Desert towns like Phoenix, Ariz. rarely build up, there's simply no incentive to when there's so much level sand on the outskirts of town. That's why this Phoenix penthouse enjoys such sweeping views of the city lights, there's simply nothing to block the view. Unfortunately, most of those good views are on the outside, where a neon-lit rooftop swimming pool lights up the evening sky. Inside, the decor is disappointing, with cheap-looking cabinetry, weak floral prints, waves of white and beige, and a mix of tile and carpet on the floors. We can't help but think a little TLC could take this place a long way. But wait, there's a problem. That sweet swimming pool is shared with the rest of the building. Still think this penthouse is worth $2.45M?
