Inside the Just-Listed Mansion That the Trucker Hat Built

New, 1 comment

Now Californians with a penchant for surf and skate culture now have a couple of solid options: the Topanga Ranch home of Ed Hardy honcho Christian Audigier and the Beverly Hills home just listed by former Von Dutch CEO Tonny Sorensen. The place was built in the '60s but thoroughly renovated after Sorensen bought it in 2004, just at the height of the trucker hat phenomenon (Von Dutch pulled in $100M in sales that year). With four bedrooms and five bathrooms over some 5,000 square feet, the modern mansion has the biggie hallmarks of Scandinavian design: the Denmark-born Sorensen filled it with low-slung furnishings and stainless steel appliances to make use of the 13-foot-tall glass walls. He's listed it for $6.9M, hoping to make a pretty profit above the $4.1M he originally doled out and make up for some of that costly overhaul.
