Director Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy, Double Jeopardy) has just been tapped by producers J. Todd Harris and Ed Bachrach to direct Taliesin, an in-the-works feature film about Frank Lloyd Wright. The biopic, which covers a small portion of the architect's life and " doesn’t whitewash him into some sort of saint," was written by Nicholas Meyer (multiple Star Trek films), and while its namesake—Wright's landmarked former home and studio where his married mistress was brutally murdered in 1914—is located in Wisconsin, the team is currently scouting locations in the Chicago area. At the moment no one has been announced as the lead, but Beresford told the Hollywood Reporter that he has "someone in mind, but I can't tell you yet." Guesses, anyone? Also taking guesses as to which will be more thrilling: this or that new HBO series based on Michael Gross' juicy new real estate tell-all.
