Here's a Private Home That Boasts an Astounding Shelf Life

True fact: anything called Shelf-Pod is bound to catch our attention. It happens to be a fascinating private residence in Japan that's filled with allover laminated pine-wood bookshelves. The house, designed by Kazuya Morita Architecture Studio, has a mosque-like roof; interlocking shelves hold the owner's extensive collection of Islamic texts in every inch of the place, including stairways and tabletops. That's some serious summer reading!
