Hallelujah, hallelujah, finally there's a ray of light peeking through the clouds. Today MIN reports that the March issue of Architectural Digest saw an 80.64 percent increase in ad pages over the same issue last year. Undoubtedly the success can be attributed to new editor Margaret Russell's grand plan, which seemed to revitalized advertisers' interest in the formerly stale shelter pub. In other words: Arch Digest saw the biggest jump in ad sales of any monthly magazine; it beat out People's Stylewatch, which is no small feat. It's also worth noting that the Feb/March issue of Elle Decor saw a 39.41 percent jump in ad sales up from last year—kudos to new editor Michael Boodro and his team. (An excerpt can be viewed here.)
