Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.
Location: Dallas, Tex.
Price: $11,500,000
The Skinny: Built in 2007 in a sleepy residential neighborhood in North Dallas, this glassy contemporary measures almost 15,000 square feet on a lot of less than two acres. What does that mean for the house? Well, a lot of those sexy floor-to-ceiling windows open onto cement block walls to keep the peeping toms at bay, giving what would otherwise feel like an open and airy house a vaguely claustrophobic feel. That changes a bit out back, where a neon-lit, crescent-shaped pool provides some relief, but it's still odd that just beyond the enclosure there's an expansive lawn with beautiful old-growth trees. If the next buyer can afford the $11.5M price tag, they can certainly stand to rework the walls.
