Kips Bay Decorator Show House Designers Officially Announced

With six weeks to go until the country's most esteemed showhouse opens its doors to the public, the question about who will have the honor of dressing the 16 rooms of the four-story neo-Federalist-style mansion at 163 East 63rd Street in NYC has been officially answered. Just unveiled this week: the designers tasked with renovating this year's Kips Bay Decorator Show House, once the home of former New York Herald Tribune publisher and U.S. Ambassador to England John Hay "Jock" Whitney. So which folks will have the honor of dressing the top floor, which venerable American decorator Sister Parish once redecorated (and filled with Picasso and Matisse) for Whitney's wife? The honor falls on the shoulders of designers Brad Ford (whose home we looked at a few months ago) and Robert Stilin.
