Life in English Countryside is a White, Heterosexual, Rural Idyll

Those who dream of retiring in a charming little cottage or Georgian manor may have to give themselves a healthy dose of racial profiling before negotiating listing price. A survey conducted by Leicester University found that hundreds of people who live throughout the English countryside believe life there is best when it's "essentially monocultural, in all its forms—white, heterosexual, middle-class, conformist, family-orientated, church-going, conservative and 'safe'." Hmm, we wonder how this new set of data will factor into listing text!
