Minnesota Design Firm Builds Whole Pirate Ship in Kid's Bedroom

New, 6 comments

Looks like that Tennessee couple who hand-painted Super Mario Bros. mural on their son's bedroom wall has finally met their match. Clients of Minnesota-based Kuhl Design wanted their six-year-old son's bedroom to have a pirate ship, and so it came to pass that the building of said pirate ship happened. There's a rope bridge that's strong enough to support a fully grown man, and it's "connected to the top of the jail cell, built to accommodate evil doers, thieves and little sisters." There's also a rope that one can use to descend into a closet below; a crow's nest made from hand-hewn timber—it can accommodate friends sleeping over; and a huge hanging ship (finished with bomb-proof plaster and epoxy ) that houses the kid's bed. Have a look at the photos above.
