Marijuana Dispensary Wins AIA SF Award, Gets High to Celebrate

We've been fascinated with the "vaguely bong-shaped lights" and "cascading grid of steel and glass patterned loosely on marijuana’s DNA" that contribute to the palliative atmosphere of the San Francisco Patient and Resource Center, or SPARC, since it was featured on T Magazine's The Moment blog and subsequently awarded an international design award by the International Interior Design Association. Now, all the buzz comes to a head: SPARC has just won the big, fat, blunt of the design-awards world: accolades from the American Institute of Architects.
