The cast of Bravo's forthcoming Million Dollar Decorators sits down with the Los Angeles Times's home blog not to discuss the wonders of passementerie or zinc countertops but rather: money. As we know, the show will offer a look at five L.A.-based interior designers with the highest-end clientele in the industry—“our clients have no problem spending $75,000 on a desk,” said cast member Jeffrey Alan Marks. Adds one of his firm associates, “I think people are just desperate for good news again. They want to feel there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I think that’s hopefully what the show will provide.” As far as economic indicators go, is there anything more accurate than a Bravo docudrama about how the other half lives?
