Cary Grant's Movie Colony Hideaway Languishes on the Market

New, 3 comments

So many movie stars have sought refuge in Palm Springs, Calif. over the years that one part of town is now known as Movie Colony. That's where this Spanish Farmhouse replica can be found on a walled 1.5-acre lot. Built in 1927, it served as a quiet getaway for Cary Grant for 20 years. Still, in a town full of movie star connections, the celeb ownership hasn't helped move this estate—which has been lingering on the market since May 2008—despite a $1.5M price cut. Now, the 6,000-square-foot six bedroom is asking $2.995M.
