Behold the Artist's House Shaped Like an Enormous Conch Shell

New, 2 comments

Apartment Therapy writer Kathleen Luttschyn came across the fabled Shell House by chance as she was wandering around La Isla Mujeres in Mexico. Home to artist Octavio Ocampo, the place is made of concrete and found materials—a conch shell serves as one of the faucets in the bathroom. Summer-lovin' it? The 5,500-square-foot home can be rented (price upon request): "While inspiration for the pool and Wi-Fi may not have come from the ocean, Ariel isn't complaining." See photos above and more over here.
