Location: Litchfield, Conn.
The Skinny: After a thorough renovation by Porro Design, a 1966 Marcel Breuer-designed house has been lingering on the market in bucolic Litchfield, Conn. Situated on 9.5 rural acres, the 2,900-square-foot four bedroom boasts more than just clean lines. There's a petite guest cube, housing a bedroom and bathroom, and an original mural by Alexander Calder set on a grassy hill a short distance from the house. The mix of rustic materials and modern design is intriguing, but at $3.5M, a bit too expensive to attract a buyer just yet. Still, a glossy spread in The World of Interiors couldn't have hurt.
