We knew that whole renting-a-house thing would be but a fleeting lifestyle for anyone Time magazine named Person of the Year: last week Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg snatched up a 5,000-square-foot, walled Palo Alto, Calif., number for $7M. Also unveiled: photos that show a "croquet-worthy level lawn," a "naturalized pond with waterfall," and, in the master bathroom, an "enclosed commode with skylight." One can only assume that after dinner, the men retire to the porch for brandy and cigars while the ladies sip tea in the "East Coast-style sun room."
