All the Cool Kids are Playing With Arne Jacobsen Dollhouses

Barbie Dream House, please step aside! Hip parents now have a much more relevant and educational option: a miniature version of one of Arne Jacobsen's houses in Charlottenlund, Denmark, rendered into play-size version by Danish firm Minimii. The dollhouse, scaled 1:16 to the functionalist 1929 building, features Jacobsen's iconic Egg and Swan chairs, as well as teeny modern art, wallpaper, and rugs held in place via magnets. Minimii has plans to introduce necessarily chic Vipp trash cans, Design by Us bathrooms, and Norman Copenhagen lighting; it's "also collaborating with the famous doll maker, Maileg, to create the very fortunate, design-savvy family who will live in the miniature Jacobsen home." Kids these days!
