The $68M Alpine, N.J. mansion that Oprah was rumored to be touring last fall is now a $52M Alpine, N.J. mansion that Oprah never visited. That's right, the 30,000-square-foot stone behemoth, located just eight miles from Manhattan, suffered a price chop recently, trimming $16M off the astronomical price tag. The estate's many virtues are in tact though, with 12 bedrooms, 15 baths, 12-foot ceilings, swimming pool, tennis court, heated driveway and indoor basketball court. Now the brokerbabble claims it's a "smart house which can be operated anywhere in the world from an iPhone." We're not sure what operating a house means, and if you're spending this sort of cash on a house wouldn't you have "people" for that? But if that techy novelty doesn't get someone to drop $52M, nothing will.
