The World's Best Big Wave Surfer Lists Hawaiian Estate for $2.75M

New, 4 comments

Bronzed adonis Laird Hamilton—who is consistently named the world's best big wave surfer and pioneered the technique of tow-in surfing in order to ride waves too big and fast for a human to paddle in to—has listed this 5,000-square-foot lodge on the Hawaiian island of Maui for $2.75M. According to the ever-sleuthy Real Estalker, Hamilton and his wife, volleyball ace Gabrielle Reece split their time between this monotone spread and a modest 8,325-square-foot pad in Malibu, Calif. Don't worry surf groupies, Hamilton will still own a piece of his native Hawaii, several actually, including another house in this immediate area.
